The Elvetham Hotel
The Elvetham Hotel is set in 30 acres of beautiful grounds and gardens in Hampshire, and is renowned as one of the finest wedding venues in the local area. We worked with the hotel to create an array of impactful promotional materials which included wedding brochures, exhibition stands and conference literature.
A crucial part of our work involved designing promotional materials for the hotel’s luxury Christmas party evenings – a key revenue driver which created a positive impact on the business in turn.
Each aspect of the seasonal promotion needed to be carefully considered to ensure every element seamlessly integrated with one another – and ultimately make a positive impact on the hotel’s marketing strategy.
For Christmas 2016, we developed a strong creative concept which emphasised the many appealing features of The Elvetham’s shared and private Christmas party nights. As this is such a comprehensive package, we developed a concept based on a snow globe image, to act as the main focal point of the promotional materials. This helped to convey the message that The Elvetham has everything an organisation could want for an excellent Christmas party ‘all under one roof’, whilst also illustrating a clear link to the festive season.
The snow globe image was supported with a tongue in cheek headline, ‘Shake your thang’ – in order to add a fresh twist to the concept and to connect with a slightly younger target audience. A secondary line ‘Dance the night away’ further supported the headline copy – accentuating the exceptional entertainment and enjoyment that guests will experience. After developing an initial flyer for these Christmas party nights, we then went on to create posters, adverts, an eSignature and festive web banners. We also designed a range of eye-catching social media banners, complete with festive Twitter and Instagram GIFs, which were used to attract interest from social media users.
The final part of the project involved supporting the hotel with a new initiative – an exclusive ‘Christmas party night taster’ in July. In order to successfully promote this new event, and to drive bookings, we subtly introduced summer elements within the snow globe design, to ensure the promotional materials had clear ties to both the July event and the overriding Christmas concept. We completed these changes with a conceptual headline – ‘Christmas has come early’, again to add a contemporary twist and ensure key audiences were engaged with this exclusive new event.
