A leading wholesale distributor of hand and power tools, Toolbank sells through a network of independent retailers in the UK and Ireland. We’ve been working with Toolbank for over a decade, project managing their B2B Christmas campaign – one of the largest in the industry. Each year we deliver an integrated marketing service to their network of independent retailers in the UK and Ireland, enabling stockists to maximise their sales during the festive season.
The Real Deals for You Campaign, which is optional for retailers, includes carefully selected products and offers, many exclusive – plus marketing tools which help promote the products to customers. Over the last 10 years we have developed this campaign as a brand in its own right – to build awareness, loyalty and trust. In 2015, Toolbank wanted to ensure that RD4Y was highly visible online and offline UK-wide.
This involved creating a full suite of marketing tools, to encourage retailers to sign up for the promotion, and then help them sell products to their consumers, including in-store POS materials, leaflets, image libraries and advert templates. We then developed a new RD4Y website and created a full range of digital marketing tools such as website and social media banners, HTML email templates and eSignatures.
As part of our work for Toolbank, we’ve also been managing their social media presence throughout the year. We maintain an ongoing content calendar based upon their marketing activity, which we then supplement with more immediate work, looking for trends and online conversations with stockists and key influencers to maximise impressions and engagement.
2015 saw yet another record-breaking Christmas promotion – the new website’s organic traffic also increased by over 35% in comparison to the previous year – while Twitter activity saw a 25% increase in relevant and engaged followers since July 2015.
