Educational Trusts’ Forum
BRANDING, WEBSITE DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT
The Educational Trusts’ Forum (ETF) is an association of educational trusts, each of which helps support vulnerable children by helping to facilitate a good education. The charities work both together and individually, awarding an annual contribution of over £60 million in grants.
We were asked to undertake a rebranding and website redesign project for the ETF, having previously carried out a similar project for one of their member charities. The aim of the project was to create an uplifting identity, and to enable the charity to offer an effective online platform for families in need.
The rebrand was designed to focus on the ETF’s meaningful transformation of children’s lives, with the final visual execution echoing both growth and stability. To ensure this new branding was as impactful as possible, contemporary colours were selected to enhance the final design, and we also crafted a succinct strapline to summarise the charity’s powerful work – life-changing charities.
One of the key aims for the new site was to implement a user-friendly search function, which would allow potential beneficiaries to quickly find relevant charities and grants that met their needs. This not only created a simple way of enabling visitors to find useful information – but also helped to reduce the number of enquiries which some of the ETF charities were receiving, from families that did not meet their specific grant criteria.
Throughout the branding and website development process, we worked closely with each of the ETF’s numerous member charities – attending multiple sessions with representatives to invite feedback and coordinate the site’s content in a structured fashion. This detailed and careful project management helped to ensure that each charity was happy with the direction of the new ETF branding, and with its individual presence on the new site – which is now receiving an impressive amount of traffic via search engines.
As part of our ongoing relationship with the Educational Trusts’ Forum, we now manage their website and engage with the individual charities as appropriate – maintaining our collaborative approach, and working alongside them as they continue to make a difference in the lives of the children they support.
“The preparatory work for the new website was a process of research, discussion and execution that has resulted in an exciting and serviceable modern website. This is a reflection of Shine Creative’s expertise in getting to know its client’s identity, and how it wishes to promote itself for the good of many young people, who are in need of a supportive education experience. Shine Creative is to be commended for its professionalism and creative imagination which has admirably served ETF’s needs.” – Henry Beltran, Chairman, ETF
